Mr. Lan Tian, a lawyer, was appointed Deputy Director of the Center for Promoting China-India Cooperation in March 2012, responsible for promoting exchanges, bilateral trade, and economic and trade cooperation between China and India. He has rich experience in the mining, energy, marketing, and trade sectors, and has established an in-depth market network in eastern and northeastern India. He once served as a director of a listed company on the Bombay Stock Exchange (stock code: 526987) and was one of the youngest executive directors of listed companies on the exchange. The Bombay Stock Exchange is the oldest stock exchange in Asia and was the 10th largest stock exchange in the world by market capitalization in 2008. In 2007, he promoted his business concept to a listed company on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, successfully raising approximately US$250,000 and founding "IKF Salampuria Agrotech Limited", which specializes in clean energy (biofuels). In 2012, he co-founded another company in the infrastructure and real estate industries with the dean of a management school, retired senior officials of the Indian government, and other leaders. Mr. Lan Tian holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Physics, a Bachelor of Laws, a Master of Laws (International Trade and Economics), a PGDIB/MBA (International Business), an SGEem (E-Marketing), and a Certificate in Small Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Shillong (IIM Shillong). He has successfully led several bilateral cooperation projects between China and India, such as the establishment of Indian yoga centers, the construction of commercial and service industry cities, the construction of a five-star hotel in Lijiang, educational cooperation projects, film cooperation projects, and the promotion of Indian weddings in Kunming. Currently, he has established a platform to assist Chinese enterprises in launching and improving their business and investment activities with India. Through this platform, Chinese enterprises can develop rapidly in India, find Indian business partners and investment opportunities, and build interpersonal networks, brands, conduct market research, build corporate teams, and establish joint ventures or wholly-owned enterprises.
