The Silk Road Development Association and Hong Kong Hung Hom Christian College signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The signing was represented by Rem Tai, Chairman of the Silk Road Development Association, and Dr. CHOI Hong-sheung, JP, President of Hong Kong Hung Hom Christian College. The Silk Road Development Association will assist Hong Kong Hung Hom Christian College in launching Belt and Road-related courses, providing an opportunity for young people and working professionals to learn about the Belt and Road Initiative. Rem Tai, Chairman of the Silk Road Development Association, and He Jiacheng, Executive Vice Chairman, paid a visit to Zhang Hua, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce of Guangdong Province. Vice Chairman Zhang expressed the hope that the Silk Road Development Association would make more efforts for the development of the Belt and Road Initiative in the Greater Bay Area.
During the pandemic, the Silk Road Development Association provided support for Hong Kong's anti-epidemic efforts. In view of the shortage of anti-epidemic supplies in a large number of elderly care homes in Hong Kong, which led to infections among many elderly people and caregivers, the Association coordinated the donation of anti-epidemic supplies to some elderly care homes in Hong Kong. The anti-epidemic supplies and logistics expenses were sponsored by Yima Express Group Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Jiacheng Asset Management Co., Ltd., which are members of the Association's Presidium.
Rem Tai, Chairman of the Silk Road Development Association, served as a course instructor for the Overseas Chinese Training Program hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province. He gave lectures on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road Initiative to overseas Chinese entrepreneurs from dozens of countries, including those in Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, and South America.
